TOKYO, Nov. 28, 2025 -- Aderans Co., Ltd., a global leader in hair, beauty, health and medical wellness, has donated a total of 100 wigs to the National Cancer Institute of Thailand and Buriram Hospital. The donation aims to ease the concerns of cancer patients and improve their quality of life through the wigs. Aderans began donating wigs in 2012, continuing annually until the program was suspended after the 2019 donation due to COVID-19. This year marks its first resumption in six years.
On Aug. 22, Aderans Thai., Ltd. donated 50 wigs to the National Cancer Institute of Thailand and donated another 50 wigs to Buriram Hospital on Nov. 6. Donation ceremonies were held at both hospitals. At Buriram Hospital, the Aderans Thailand team provided hair-cutting services for the wigs selected by patients and offered guidance on maintenance and how to wear them properly. Due to COVID-19 precautions, participation in the ceremonies was kept to a minimum. Even so, many medical staff expressed appreciation for the program's resumption, and the ceremony concluded in a warm and supportive atmosphere.
Aderans began donating wigs in Thailand in 1986, inspired by its long-standing ties to the country, where it operates wig production factories. The program supports patients experiencing hair loss from chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Buriram Hospital alone reported nearly 3,000 new cancer patients in 2024, highlighting the ongoing need for appearance-related support.
The donated wigs will also be shared with neighboring affiliated hospitals to reach additional patients in need. Aderans will continue this donation program as part of its ongoing CSR activities.
