TOKYO, Nov. 4, 2025 -- Aderans Co., Ltd., a global leader in hair, beauty, health and medical wellness, presented the "Aderans Award" to Owl's Kaleidoscope by Juna at the 2025 PARAART TOKYO 12th International Exchange Exhibition, held Oct. 1-5 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre Gallery in Toshima Ward, Tokyo. The exhibition was organized by Nippon Charity Kyokai (the Japan Charity Association).
As part of its CSR and SDGs initiatives, Aderans has supported PARAART--an arts and cultural program for artists with disabilities promoted by the Japan Charity Association--as an official partner since 2021. Aderans established the corporate-sponsored "Aderans Award" to further advance the association's mission of promoting social participation and international exchange through art. In 2025, the award was presented for the fifth consecutive year.
PARAART TOKYO is an international art exhibition that invites submissions from artists with disabilities worldwide. This year, approximately 950 works -- the largest number to date -- were submitted from about 20 countries. Of these, approximately 230 works, including paintings, three-dimensional works and calligraphy, were exhibited. To allow audiences to enjoy the artwork without visiting in person, all submitted works are also available through the PARAART TOKYO virtual gallery at https://virtualgallery.paraart.jp/2025/en/.
The "Aderans Award"-winning artwork, Owl's Kaleidoscope by Juna will be displayed at Aderans' headquarters and is scheduled to appear on the cover of its CSR Communication Report.
■ 2025 "Aderans Award" -Winning Artwork
Title:Owl's Kaleidoscope
Artist:Juna
■ Selection Rationale (Comment from Hiromasa Suzuki, President and CEO of Aderans)
"All submitted paintings were carefully reviewed during the selection process. This work stood out because it conveys 'smiles,' as well as feelings of hope, kindness and positive energy. The owl depicted at the center evokes wisdom and tranquility, while the kaleidoscope-like colors spreading outward vividly express the beauty of diversity and harmony. This year, Aderans established a new corporate slogan: 'Everything for a smile.' The delicate yet powerful composition of this artwork naturally brings a smile to the viewer's face, and I felt an immediate resonance with our company philosophy."
■ Comment From the Japan Charity Association
"The fantastical world of a kaleidoscope is rendered from a light, unique perspective and creative imagination. The vividly depicted owl with closed eyes, alongside faces that resemble oni (Japanese demons) -- some gently smiling -- creates a joyful work that brings good fortune to those who view it."
