New appearance care items for style and comfort
Caps and a scarf for hair loss available from July 1

Aderans Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, Japan; Representative Director and President: Hiromasa Suzuki), promoting the wellness business of hair, beauty, health, and medical care on a global scale, is introducing three new appearance care items for hair loss, including two types of caps and a scarf. The products will be available at the Aderans official online store (http://www.aderans-shop.jp, in Japanese) and our "Komorebi" in-hospital hair salons across Japan from Tuesday, July 1.


Aderans operates the Komorebi hair salon in 35^*1 hospitals across the country. Responding to patients' direct requests for products, and considering broader social contexts such as a growing number of cancer patients, we have recognized the need to offer products to further accommodate the lifestyles of people who have concerns about their heads and hair. The new products therefore focus also on design. This is the first time for our e-commerce to offer scarves.

Our appearance care products are developed with a focus on reducing users' discomfort and protecting them from the sun during hair loss, paying special attention to fabrics and sewing methods. At the Komorebi hair salons, there has been ongoing demand^*2 for hats and caps to cope with hair loss, particularly among women.

Responding to this continuing demand, we have developed three new products for women, including two types of caps and a scarf. The caps are recommended when you have an unexpected visitor and have no time to wear a wig, as well as when you are going out for a short while. To help uplift patients' spirits  during the difficult battle with illness, we aimed for excellence in both design and comfort so that patients of all ages like to keep using these products everywhere even after the treatment.

■ About the New Products
●    Waffle Bow Beanie: Adding volume by generously using fabric
The double-layered beanie gives comfort on the inside with elastic knit fabric gentle on your skin, while adding volume on the outside with waffle fabric. The design is simple yet unique with a soft and voluminous silhouette. The eye-catching bow on the front diverts attention from potential change in head size during hair loss. The product is available in two colors: Off White to give a cute impression and Navy to highlight grace and elegance.

●    Two-way Scarf: Wear it, tie it, and look stylish instantly
We have decided to develop the scarf in response to requests from patients. The classic small polka-dot pattern fits everyone naturally and beautifully regardless of age, bringing a polished look. The swinging pattern, using refreshing colors and lines, gives a fresh and sophisticated impression. While satin enhances your stylish look, the scarf feels gentle on your skin^*3 thanks to the 100% cotton lining.

We have designed this scarf to ensure that it can be used anytime and anywhere even beyond treatment periods and hospital settings. Since the bow can be placed either on the front or back, each giving a different expression, we hope you can also enjoy the product as one of your fashion accessories. As the product size can be adjusted at the knot, you can use it for a long time and in different situations, including when you are using a wig and when you have lost your hair. When you are experiencing cancer-related hair loss, the scarf can gently cover your head and help you cope with the process.

●    UV Protection Newsboy Cap with String: Look great while protecting yourself from the sun
With the wide brim, this cap is perfect for when you go out on a sunny day. It is particularly recommended if you would like to protect yourself from the sun not only in the summer but throughout the year. The outer fabric blocks over 90% of UV rays. The product size can also be adjusted with the string so that you can use it for a long time in different hair loss stages. The brim and the soft round silhouette also help you cover your head shape and eyebrow hair loss.

■    Developing in-hospital hair salons
Since its launch in 2002, our in-hospital hair salon Komorebi has expanded to 35 locations^*1 across Japan. Based on the concept of "co-creation," incorporating the voices of and working together with healthcare providers and patients to develop the salons, we offer a variety of salon services and appearance care products they need. For example, in addition to wigs, the salons also provide consultation for people experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy and those with concerns about nail and eyebrow problems. Through these services and more, we deliver comprehensive one-stop appearance care to support patients' lives.

■    Developing medical wigs: ensuring peace of mind for patients
Aderans develops its medical wigs while incorporating input and requests from various stakeholders, including patients and healthcare providers as well as salon staff members who serve patients every day. All of the medical wigs currently offered by Aderans meet the JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) performance requirements (JIS S 9623).
