About Activities in Shizuoka Prefectural Forest Park
Shizuoka Prefectural Forest Park, known for its red pine forests, is a cherished natural landscape and has been selected by Japan's Ministry of the Environment as a "Rural landscapes (Satoyama/Satochi) of high importance for biodiversity conservation." It is also a habitat for rare species.

However, after the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, the park was unable to secure helicopters for aerial spraying of pine weevil control agents, resulting in a sharp increase in pest damage. As a result, the red pine forests--once covering a wide area--have been reduced to about one-third of their peak size.
In response to this situation, Aderans became the first private company to begin supporting the Red Pine Forest Regeneration Project in the region.
